As part of a cooperative agreement with the federal government in Brazil, the Danish Consulate shares the Danish experience with digital government at a workshop with the state of São Paulo.

Last Friday, August 4th, the Consul General of Denmark, Eva Bisgaard Pedersen, was received by the Deputy Secretary, Pablo Uhart, and the Under Secretary for Strategic Planning and Government Management, Keli Della Torre, at the Secretariat of Planning and Management in São Paulo state, to share with the state of São Paulo the Danish experience with digital government.

The initiative is the result of a cooperative agreement with the Ministry of Planning and Management, which led to the opening of an innovation lab on e-government – G-NOVA – one year ago in Brasília. The Danish government now plans to strengthen relations with the state and municipal authorities of São Paulo by engaging in a dialogue on the topic.

At the workshop, the Danish specialist on digitalization Gustav Christoffer Jensen presented the digital strategy defined and implemented in Denmark as well as solutions used by the Danish government and its citizens, such as the platform Borger.dk and the digital authentication NemID.

The session was an important step in opening discussions with regard to a future potential cooperation between Denmark and the state of São Paulo, in terms of local realities. In addition to the Secretariat of Planning and Management, the Government School of São Paulo State (EGAP), the Secretariat of Government and other State Secretariats also attended the workshop, as did representatives from public companies with influence in service areas and innovation in Brazil.
