Application procedure

Here you can read about the application procedure for a new passport, renewal of an old passport and a provisional passport, for both adults and minors/children.

Passports are only issued at the Danish Embassy (Brasília) and the General Consulate (São Paulo). Passports for minors are also issued at the honorary consulates.

Please note, that an appointment must be scheduled for each person applying, also minors, before showing up at the representation.

When your new passport has arrived, you will be notified by the mission. After the notification, please contact the mission to schedule an appointment, in order to collect the passport.

Please remember to bring the old passport in order for it to be cancelled.

Below you can read about the different application procedures.
