The process will on average take three days.
Brazil has implemented the Convention of Apostille since August 14, 2016
Brazil has adhered to the Hague Convention (The Hague Convention of 5 October 1961), also known as the Apostille Convention. The Apostille replaces the legalisation process, which means that neither the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs nor the Danish Diplomatic Representations are able to legalise documents since August 14.
The Apostille is a certificate used to legalise documents, as well as certified translations thereof. As a result, for a Brazilian document to have legal effect in Denmark, the Apostille is necessary.
The public notaries in all Brazilian capitals will issue Apostilles. The public notaries that are not located in capitals will in the near future request authorisation to issue Apostilles as well.
The price of the Apostilles depends on the state.
For more information, please contact the public notaries in the capital of your state.
Denmark’s Embassy and General Consulate in Brazil have knowledge of the following sworn translators in Portuguese and Danish.
