Family reunification of spouses

Foreigners can obtain a residence permit in Denmark if they have a spouse, a registered partner, or a cohabiting partner already residing in Denmark.

However, a number of requirements must be met, both with regards to the spouses/partners themselves, and to their marriage/partnership. There are also a number of specific requirements for the individual, who is already a resident in Denmark.

Family reunification of children

Foreign nationals under the age of 15, who have a parent or parents living in Denmark can be eligible for a residence permit in Denmark, provided a series of conditions are met.

IMPORTANT: All applicants must contact the diplomatic mission of Norway in Brazil in order to schedule a visit to submit the application.

The application forms should be submitted to the Danish Immigration Service, the Danish Police, or personally to the Embassy of Norway in Brasilia or to the Consulate General of Norway in Rio de Janeiro, who, due to a joint Nordic agreement, represents Denmark  in Brazil on these matters.
